Anti Fin Feb.

updates
February 2016 saw an amazing event held on Takapuna beach in Auckland. The humbling crowd filled the beach with jandals, sandy toes, dancing kids and magnificant castles, all in the name of shark protection.  Many New Zealanders still hold sharks in their worst nightmares, and this is what we are aiming to change. Sharks have been residing in our costal waters for longer than we can imagine, therefore, it is clear that they are a vital part of our eco system. Lets change our attitude towards sharks and acknoledge that, just like us kiwis, they love NZ and have a rightfull place to feel at home in our waters.  The FINATHON had over 30 keen sand sculpers and 2 keen swimmers. We had a bunch of awesome prizes - PADI kindly donated 3 E-Learning passes and Performance Diver supplied 4 Mask, Fin, Snorkle sets. HUGE thanks to all the voulenteers and sponsors that made this day possible!!! Click here to see Jo's member story!!
