100 Days of Clean Up - Days 13 - 19

updates

Our staff on the Rig has been busy over the past week. In total they fished 34.3kg of trash out of our housereef. In total that means that after 19 days we are up to 186.8kg.

There's a lots of stuff that's been down there for a while. Plastics hiding under sand are very difficult to see for untrained eyes. But there are also every day finds of plastics, food wrappers in particular, that look very new. Seems like people think it easier to dump the things into our ocean than to put them into a trashcan. High in rank is still the diapers. Sometimes nicely wrapped up, sometimes just carelessly thrown.

Todays pic shows Kim and our manager Jonatan. Both of them went on a three day mission during days 17, 18 and 19. On their dives, with a divetime of 148 minutes combined, they brought up a total of 18.1kg, more than half of this weeks efforts.
