Camps International clean up Kota Kinabalu!

updates

Adventure groups from Camps International UK help our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre island staff team to clean up Kota Kinabalu’s TAR marine park!

Not the whole park can be single-handedly cleaned of its marine debris, but an education in contributing to the health of the marine environment is valuable for our young adventurers’ to gain a deeper appreciation of our natural world.

The first group, endearingly named ‘Pisang’ (Malay term for ‘banana’) and totalling 31 participants, begin their 1-month Sabah adventure at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre to take advantage of the opportunity to qualify as PADI Open Water Divers!

Under the experienced care and supervision of our PADI Instructor team, the adventurers’ not only learn the once-in-a-lifetime skill SCUBA and experience other island activities, such as snorkelling, kayaking and jungle trekking, but they also develop their understanding of ecotourism.

This form of tourism encourages visitors and Sabah’s own residents to protect and preserve nature through environmentally-friendly practices! In future, they will be inspired to opt for only those tourist operators that have the same principles with a corporate responsibility towards our environment!
