Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) visits our beach house – another school in session at Downbelow’s Dive Centre to learn about Kota Kinabalu’s marine biodiversity!

Im the TAR marine park, our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, hosts various schools and universities to gain a unique education through our variety of island activities created within their personalised itinerary.

For 1 day, 20 of the students from UMS, tried scuba diving for the first time ever at our island beach house under the care and supervision of our team of PADI Instructors.

After a morning of simple dive skills, our Instructors build their confidence with a practise open water dive in the sheltered bay, right on the doorstep of our Dive Centre.

Our operations are so fortunate to have such easy access to so much incredible marine life that the students will be more than willing to learn more about because it is fascinating to everyone of any age!

These students are specifically learning topics within their studies that are centred around the tourism industry in Kota Kinabalu and Sabah, and now they see why our marine environment needs to be protected and preserved to continue the longevity of the tourism in our local paradise!
