Downbelow’s Expedition Borneo group from Denmark help our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre in TAR marine park to raise awareness with selfies to show we are #SeriousAboutWildlifeCrime!

After the group completed their PADI Open Water Diver course and Advanced Open Water with Specialities, a couple of our dedicated PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors delivered  presentation on the benefits of protecting our marine environment. The AWARE Coral Reef Conservation course delivers easy-to-digest information for our public audience to gain further appreciation for the marine life and its valuable habitat.

One of the biggest issues we have in our local area in Kota Kinabalu is marine debris, and all of our Instructors instilled in our adventurers’ the respect must have for the natural environment when disposing of their litter – by doing so properly!

Within the presentation at our beach house, the group are also introduced to the biology of corals and the implication of marine debris to their life cycle…and its inevitable effect to all life cycles!
