As fierce Project AWARE supporters, Downbelow’s next mission is ‘Going Global’, and it will be both exciting and conservation-centred!

Since the beginning, Downbelow has been a responsible corporate citizen in the Kota Kinabalu scene to provide visitors to Sabah the ‘real deal’, and it certainly is when trusted operators used are equally passionate about conservation.

‘Going Global’ will introduce our brand to others elsewhere in the world to share in our mission to contribute to environmental causes!

So far, our focus has been strictly Sabah, but we are looking to expand ourselves further and deliver other countries’ responsible tourism to the local residents of Sabah (or anyone interested really!)

It makes so much sense to be active in a green-approach when working in the tourism industry, since most of the worlds’ population actually works in tourism, and travel and tours operations naturally reduce their ecological footprint in any way possible.

‘Going Global’ will also offer the opportunity for our local residents in Borneo to explore other places to broaden their minds. Travelling is great for the soul, and so much more satisfying when choosing those operators who care to protect and preserve the marine and terrestrial environment for both its natural beauty and their career!
