IDC candidates develop into Project AWARE ambassadors!

updates

On our most recent PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), Abdullah and our other IDC candidates develop into Project AWARE ambassadors!

After their IDC, the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) will test their professionalism, which encompasses all that we expect from professional dive educators, such as: concern for diver safety, adhering to PADI standards of diver education, active marine conservation and being a Project AWARE supporter!

During the IDC, our Go PRO interns practise delivering teaching presentations in and out of the water. There is a correlation between the dive theory and all practical dive skills, and it is the Instructors duty to educate their students how they link. However, Abdullah is presenting one of the knowledge review questions from the Project AWARE Specialty course, for which the particpant requirements to enrol on the course is that they need not be a certified diver.

This is why it is important for our candidates to understand that marine conservation can be contributed by more than just the diving community and they need to inspire those who are beyond the scope of SCUBA. For however many millions of certified divers there are in the world, there are millions more who are marine enthusiasts without the desire to dive.

Outreach programs are always lots of fun to organise and conduct, and at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, Go PRO interns are heavily involved in any of our conservation programs.

Get in tocuh with our HQ to find out more on how to be a Project AWARE ambassador and marine activist on our Go PRO internship programs.
