Shark extinction is not an option! Marine Conservation is!

updates

Marine conservation is the only option if we want to avoid shark extinction!

Soon our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates will be qualified as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors (OWSIs) and will think about what dive disciplines and popular diving interests they would like teach furthermore to their instructional capabilities!

One of the more popular courses is the AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty Instructor, which our resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann conducts.

Stefan and Samantha successfully completed their IDC and continued their professional diver education; and during their training dives noticed the lack of sharks in the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park. However, about a hundred metres away, several juvenile whale sharks were feeding on a dense mass of krill together!

Despite their bad luck, sightings reported that the vulnerable species do migrate through a busy port such as Kota Kinabalu! This is due to the successful efforts to protect and preserve our local marine environment and its surrounding terrestrial environment too.
