Tropical biodiversity in TAR marine park must be preserved!

updates

It is not only important to protect our marine environment, but it’s also imperative that we actively preserve it to keep our seas and ocean balanced for so many long-term benefits.

Committed Project AWARE divers at our Gaya Island beach house conduct marine debris collection during sessions of various PADI courses and programs to inspire marine enthusiasts to contribute in their daily lives when they leave our dive centre facilities.

Conservation projects are organised regularly by our team of dedicated PADI professional staff, and it’s a formal performance requirement in just about all PADI courses and programs, which involve in-water activities.

The tropical biodiversity found in TAR marine park is one of the most biologically valuable areas in the world, where every effort is given to support the environmental health of our local area.

Downbelow operations are planning to organise more projects, such as coral re-planting, to encourage existing patches of damaged coral reef to be restored to their previous healthy condition by placing them close to vibrant coral where there will be plenty of nutrients.

The whole team are looking forward to what positive difference they’ll be able to notice after time, and very confident that there will be a marked difference!
