Thanks to our friends – old and new- who visited us at the Dive Show at Birmingham’s NEC in October. We took this opportunity to hand over donations to 2 NGOs raised at Camel Dive Club since February. PADI’s Simon Chance received our donation from the sales of Limited Edition prints by graphic artist Ian Churchill. Ian’s superhero Marine Man appears underwater with a diving camel – a picture he designed specially for us last year. Simon loved the picture so much he bought one himself! Glenys Henderson from the Shark Trust took receipt of the donation from the sales of our Hammerhead t-shirts, designed by concept artist Dan Lish. Despite sightings at the back of Jackson reef being few and far between this summer, it has been a great year for hammerheads. They made Appendix II at the Convention of Migratory Species in November which ensures regional cooperative initiatives to conserve shared populations.
