Dive for Debris

Begins
Ends
Deerfield Beach, United States

Thirteen students from SAS Scuba Club and three adult chaparones paddleboarded the intercoastal surrounding Deerfield Island Park collecting trash submerged in the Hammock roots.  We swam and dove to remove the trash and placed it in dive bags then sorted and recorded the trash we found.  We found 162 pieces totaling 77 pounds of trash. We then recycled what we could and disposed of the rest.
