The Upper length of the Waikato River between Cherry Island and Reids Farm as it flows from beautiful Lake Taupo would have to be one of my favorite dives (certainly the most fun)

Unfortunately what is an interesting and exciting drift dive is often spoiled by dumped shopping trolleys, road cones and other items

This is a chance to have a fun dive (with the added bonus of a bathe in the natural thermal springs towards the end) and do our bit to clean the stretch of river at the same time.
