Project AWARE Gets Rated Best in America
Project AWARE is pleased to announce that it has earned the Best in America Seal of Excellence from Independent Charities of America (ICA). Based on rigorous independent review, this seal is awarded to the members of ICA that document and demonstrate annually that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the U.S. government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, one of the most selective fund drives in the world.
“Project AWARE always strives to use donor funds in the most effective way possible to fulfill our ocean protection mission globally. Our donors are core to our achievements and at the forefront of every decision we make,” said Project AWARE’s Executive Director, Alex Earl. “Receiving the Best in America seal is one more confirmation of these efforts and a testament to our dedication to transparency, accountability and results for the environment.”
Of the more than one million charities operating in the United States today, fewer than 1 in 500 have been awarded this seal. Thank you ICA for this esteemed recognition. When you choose to donate to Project AWARE’s ocean protection mission, this seal along with the Guidestar Exchange Silver seal and Great Nonprofits listing, provide extra assurance that your support is used effectively.
