Clean Up - Dive Against Debris at the Gold Coast Seaway

Whilst we clean up our oceans on every dive; unfortunately, rubbish is added more quickly than we can clear it. Particularly with fishing refuse – line, hooks, lead, lures etc. So it is up to us to clear our favourite dive sites to make sure they are kept rubbish free and the ocean residents are not choking on filth. So periodically we organise a clean up to help get on top of the growing problem.

 

 

NEXT EVENT : Thursday 20 February 2014 at the Gold Coast Seaway

We will be doing two dives.

If you are joining us for 2 dives please meet us at 10am at the Pipes/Diver’s Entrance* at the Gold Coast Seaway at 10am.

If you are joining us for just 1 dive please meet us at 10am at the Pipes/Diver’s Entrance* at the Gold Coast Seaway at 11am.

*My silver Nissan Elgrande and trailer will be parked there and the PDS sign will be out too.

N.B. – Please ensure to fill out and send a booking form back to us so that we know your gear requirements and know to expect you. We will see you down there!

So join us on Thursday 20 February as we do two dives and clean up our favourite local dive site the Gold Coast Seaway. There is no cost for the day if you have your own gear. We will providing tanks and weights for the clean up at no cost. If you would like to make a donation to PADI’s Project AWARE initiative we will donate it on your behalf but that is entirely up to you. This is a free event designed specifically to clean up our favourite dive site and keep our oceans healthy.

Please RSVP for the clean up by filling out the booking form so we can cater for you with tanks and weights.  There will be prizes awarded on the day as well for the quirkiest piece of rubbish and the largest amount collected.
