We have been working with the Children from the local school 'King's College British School of Alicante' during their world climate week in October. As part of the education and joining in with our push and commitment to Project Aware we arranged a Beach Clean-up day down at San Gabriel Beach in Alicante. The day was a great success and we manged to collect 27 full bin bags full of rubbish and debri off the coast line. All the students worked extremely hard 4 students went away with prizes for the effort they put in. This included 3 students winning a discover scuba diving day for effort and a T-shirt was won by 1 student for the most interesting thing found on the day which was a very small kitten. The kitten had infected eyes but was taken tothe vet and is now fit and healthy and living with the student who found it. A great success story all round and all students educated on the importance of keeping our coastline and sea clean and tidy.
