BALI SHARK PROJECT NEEDS TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE DIVED IN BALI IN 2011.

Bali Shark Project in collaboration with Conservation International is, starting 1st April 2012, undertaking  a socio-economic survey  of the local (Bali) shark fishing community to establish the scale of the industry with a view to assessing the likely impact on the community from a ban on shark fishing  .

The added value of dive tourism from an healthy shark population will be a major arguement in the proposal for establishing a Shark Sanctuary around Bali. We therefore need to know the number of divers who dived in Bali in 2011 so that we can support our proposals with some real figures.

If you dived in Bali in 2011 please e-mail [email protected] stating when you dived, the number of dives and where you dived. It would also be good to know whether you saw any sharks.  For ease of administration please use Subject -   Diver Survey.

If you know someone who dived in Bali in 2011 please ask them to send an e-mail as well.

PLEASE ACT - THIS INFORMATION IS ESSENTIAL TO THE CAUSE
