Picnic Island Park and Pier Cleanup - November 8, 2014

Claire and I went to Picnic Island Park and Pier Cleanup hosted by Tampa Bay Green Consortium. It was a great experience for Claire Koch, age 6, to see how important our Ocean and beach are to us. Claire and I cleaned the beach and she said to me, "Why people throw stuff everywhere?" I told her, "some people do not care so we are here to clean up their mess and to be sure we protect our marine life from getting hurt." She said, "I am mad at people who made messes all over the beach. Please keep it clean!" Claire want to come back with Tampa Bay Green Consortium next year and do some more clean but cannot wait in 3 years when she can become Open Water Diver to join her father for Dive Against Debris!
