PADI IDC Staff Instructor Tim conducts the PADI AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty presentation for international school students on an adventure to explore Sabah’s biodiversity!

The presentation is a thorough introduction to the coral reef ecosystems, their economical worth and the benefits of protecting the underwater rainforests. Most shocking for our audiences are the predictions of worldwide destruction and total loss of these delicate natural structures.

For over a decade, the Downbelow team has relentlessly supported the Project AWARE Foundation and their various campaigns to raise awareness within our own local community to encourage active protection of our natural environment!

From hosting beach and underwater clean ups to conducting field study surveys alongside University students for data collection, our operations are involved in any opportunity to strive for a healthy paradise! 

As PADI professionals, marine conservation is one of the greatest responsibilities; the greatest, in the sense that, protecting it is our duty and it provides us career fulfillment!
