Ban Tai Beach Cleanup

updates

Its been a while since we have had time to blog our clean up efforts but we are back on the case down at Phangan International Diving School where we realised the beach was in dire need of a clean. At the start of Septemeber we started organising an afternoon when most of the divemaster trainees and instructors would be free for a blitz of the beach.

We set off at around 1630 and cleaned a 600m stretch of the beach picking up things like beer bottles, wine bottles, glass, plastic bags, cotton buds, light bulbs, discarded brushes, broken plastic chairs, sweet rappers, cans and much much more.

In total we managed to fill 7 bin bags between us and this gave our DMTs a great insite into what is happening on the beaches and that we need to do our part to keep them clean. Until next time guys please use a bin to dispose of your rubbish and dont throw anything into the ocean!!!

Many thanks to everyone who took part with me. Rachel, Laura, Raul, Nico and Sole!! you are officially ECO WARRIORS!!
