Other nests hatch whilst we wait for the ones on the beach at HVBC

updates

So in the mean time there have been other turtles hatching in Bonaire.  The most at risk nests get a lot of attention from the Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire staff and volunteers.

We have a nesting area on a beach near our airport.  The airport lights attract the turtles to go across the street towards it rather than to the ocean so everone comes out to help. Including the public.  It is a small island afterall and all the word soon get about.

Here you can see me helping out a release in the early eveining to help the turtles finf the right way to the ocean.
