Seahorse Survey Success

Kenna Eco Diving research volunteers have been carrying out a seahorse survey over the past few months, which is proving to be very successful.

We have discovered a healthy population of European seahorses breeding on the Costa Brava. To date we are monitoring 20 individuals: 12 males and 8 females. There are a mix of Hippocampus hippocampus and Hoppocampus guttulatus, and the majority of the males are pregnant or have recently given birth.
