Borneo Divers Training Institute have the privilege to teach Sabah very own youth to experience the life underwater, the life style of a diver and most important to achieve the Divemaster certification under the sponsorship of PRITEC a Peninsular Base company, which main focus is the development of under privilege youth in Malaysia. 

For 2 fun, gruelling, sad and happy months the candidate under the strict supervision of Borneo Divers experience instructor gone through all the course and finally achieving their goal that is becoming a fully certified Divemaster. 

Some of the candidate come from a fishing village where the whole family depends on the sea for lively hood, so to make them better understand about how important is the ocean to a fisherman, how important is it to preserve the ocean and also where does all the rubbish go, Borneo Divers Training Institute organize a Mini Project AWARE for them. 

We choose 2 dive site within the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park that is Black coral Reef just about 5 minute away from Borneo Divers Training Institute Island Base and we also Manukan House reef. 

On the first dive we didn't fine much rubbish, but what we found underwater is an endless stretch of fishing net, Took us about 50 minute to carefully cut the net while trying to minimize the damage toward the coral. 

On the second dive, it's Manukan House reef. This dive site normally are off limit to diver but with the permission of SABAH Park, we manage to dive as close as possible to the jetty. Took us about 60 minute on this dive site and the end result is 143.5KG of rubbish and fishing net.
