Pulau Hantu North Jetty Underwater Cleanup- Singapore

updates

It was a nice sunny morning when we arrived at Pulau Hantu North Jetty. With a team of 3 (11 pax) we had 2 dives with our mesh trash bags to clear some debris. There is a lot of big and heavy items like glass wine/champagne bottles and tyres which we did not manage to clear as our bags became too heavy and we did not have lift bags to safely surface and dispose these items. Therefore, we targetted the lighter debris such as aluminium cans, plastic items and batteries on our second dive. At the end of the 2nd dive, we weighed our collection of debris which totalled to 45kg worth of debris. Well done to the volunteers for such great effort in chipping in to clean our environment. The trip finished off with a nice BBQ on the boat. All in all a fabulous day!
