Saturday 10th May I taught the very first 'Invasive Lionfish Tracker' PADI Specialty course at Stuart Cove Dive Bahamas. Eight students spent the morning in the classroom learning essential Lionfish facts and about their invasion in the Caribbean. In the afternoon the students did two dives putting their new capturing techniques into practice to safely and humanely capture 17 Lionfish. All the students had Lionfish for dinner and everyone had a fun time! Thanks to Jan & Alex for assisting on the course. Congratulations to the newly certified students who will now be allowed on our monthly Lionfish boat to help eradicate them from our local coral reefs.
