Downbelow Making Sure Dangerous Ghostnets Have No Place In the Ocean

updates

They keep coming but we keep fighting!

The Downbelow instructors discovered another ghostnet and sadly it was a big one. Not only that but it was sitting up in the water column so dangerously we felt the need to act immediately.

As always Platinum PADI CD Richard Swann gave a thorough briefing to everyone and a special caution as the way the net is positioned, it is hazardous even to divers!

However due to the teamwork and dedication shown by our staff and interns, we managed to remove the net completely and won this battle yet again.

Once again a big thank you to our Go Pro interns who volunteered along with the Downbelow staff and took care of this problem immediately. Various marine creatures were also released from the net's death grip and countless others were spared from getting trapped had not we remove the net.

The ocean in this part of the world is a little safer now. Thanks everyone!
