Adventurers’ from Denmark learn about coral reefs in Borneo!

updates

Downbelow host groups of adventurers’ from Denmark every year and it’s so rewarding to notice the impact it has on the marine enthusiasts’!

Every Danish adventure group is provided an itinerary filled with activities over the duration of 1 month and they spend a lot of their time at our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island, Borneo!

The full time island team offer smooth operations during the groups’ visit to our shores in Malaysia to provide comfort and convenience during their holiday.

Our PADI Instructors conduct various PADI courses and programs for our Danish friends to experience the natural beauty of the marine environment. To a previous group, one of our PADI IDC Staff Instructors Liz (pictured) delivered the AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty presentation before leaving Gaya Island for the busy city life of Kota Kinabalu.

It is essential for everyone to impress on others the plight our fragile underwater world faces, but also how to prevent these threats from extinguishing the natural world.

Our responsibility as dive educators is to inspire others to actively participate in conservation and our visiting Danish friends never let us down!

Lots of gratitude towards our adventure groups!
