Beach Clean-up Chalok Baan Kao

updates

Divesites are important to clean-up but unfortunately people forget to keep the beaches clean as well. DMT Vincent of Sunshine Divers organized a Beach clean-up which is part of his ECO voluntary of the Divemaster course. Together with two other DMT's Christine and Hagai they cleaned the beach of Chalok Baan Kao. The weird object they find was a chain block (!) of +/- 20kg in the shallow water and numerous plastic bags! They spent 3 hours on the beach and were fully equiped with gloves, bags etc. An amazing job if you ask us! Well done guys and we hope everyone on Koh Tao keep doing this! Because if you can find this amount of debris in just 3 hours on a small beach at the relaxed, Southern tip op Koh Tao, imaging the debris over in the more touristic 'Sairee Beach' of Koh Tao.
