The weather was awesome on September 7, 2013 and the work continues. We have now moved down river of the Great Island, just south of Woolrich, PA on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The September cleanups are always the best because Lock Haven University students are back and help us each year. This event drew 34 locals joined 119 LHU students (153 total participants) & in total, we removed 447 tires plus 2.10 tons of trash. Our goal is to stop the trash before it makes it's way to the Bay and then the ocean....Stop it Where it Begins! (The picture is just one group of students from Lock Haven University)
