updates

Dearest friends!

Please forgive our prolonged silence..it's been high season on Koh Tao, and what a season! However silent we've been though it does not mean we haven't been active with regards to our Project AWARE duties.

So here's a little update on what we've been up to these past few months.

As always we've been very actively promoting Project AWARE and raising awareness and funds for our Oceans with every single one of our students and divers and there have been many, 3085 certs up to date and counting!!

This is actually a good opportunity to thank all of them for their interest, concern and generosity!

We've done a few 'one hour beach clean-ups' on Sairee Beach, the latest one, on August 10th, 2013 allowed us to collect - again with the help or our awesome students and customers - about 35 kgs of debris (cf. attached picture).

We spent a whole morning cleaning up the area around our resort so as to avoid all of that debris to be flushed down towards the sea by the rain during wet season.

And finally we proceeded to remove fishing nets from various dive sites. The latest was a big fishing net on the Secret Pinnacle of Southwest Pinnacle on June 9th, 2013 (cf. attached Image Gallery).

Of course we plan to continue and increase our efforts to preserve our Oceans and we promise to keep you informed more regularly ;)

Cheers!

PS: a big thanks to Daniel Swain for his lovely pictures of the Southwest net removal expedition!
