Volunteer divers needed

updates

Come on divers, I need help with marine conservation research for the Silmar Project!

I am monitoring key species at two Mediterranean research stations as a volunteer coordinator for the spanish Silmar Project. But don´t worry I work in English.

It is an ongoing project and I collect data from May to October each year, offering subsidised placements for volunteers to join me for two weeks or more.

Some volunteers use the opportunity as an ecological diving holiday, saving money on commercial diving prices and contributing to conservation activities. Other divers, such as marine biology students, enjoy the chance to gain underwater fieldwork experience.

Full induction training is provided so that all divers are able to get hands on with data collection. For u/w photographers it´s also a great opportunity to practice your shooting.

We always clean up any debris that we find during our dives and we carry out regular logged cleanup dives for Project AWARE.
