Project AWARE Coordinator Visits Downbelow Office In Borneo

updates

Our office received a special guest this week when Hannah Pragnell-Raasch from Project AWARE dropped by for a visit. Based in Project AWARE's head office in Sydney, Australia, Hannah is the Program & Outreach Coordinator.

While in Downbelow's office, she was introduced to all of our awesome staff and also to the latest PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates who were in class with Downbelow Managing Director and resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann.

The candidates then got to know a little bit more about the non-profit organisation and its role in helping divers and environment to co-exists together in harmony.

The following day Hannah spent the day at our dive centre where she completed the AWARE Shark Conservation Speciality Course and to top it all off, she encountered 8 Black Tip Reef Sharks during her dive!

We feel privileged that Hannah visited us as we are big supporters of Project AWARE. Every month we run numerous conservation programs, including Project Aware Beach Clean-Ups, AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Courses, AWARE Shark Conservation Courses as well as the all exciting FINATHON!

Downbelow is also a 100% AWARE Partner which means we donate on behalf of every diver an amount of money to the organisation so all of our students receive an upgraded qualification card with the Project AWARE logo indicating that they too are ambassadors for the ocean.

To find out more about our conservation programs, visit our website or email us! :)
