Cleaning up the Hole

updates

On 22nd April 2013, Camel Dive Club teamed up with Ireland's Ocean Divers to clean up Dahab's Blue Hole.  During the official Earth Day, over 50 staff and guests at Camel were involved in various events at dive sites across the Sinai.

2 large bin bags were filled by the Ocean Divers group who had spent a week diving the pristine waters of the Red Sea.  They started the clean up when they had entered the Blue Hole after drifting from the Bell's.

Eco Tribe's Cath Bates, who rewarded the group with ice cold beers at the weekly Diver's Night said, "This is the 2nd time we have conducted a clean up elsewhere than Sharm el Sheikh.  It's nice to give something back when visiting other areas and to help keep our operational footprint at a minimum.  After all, the signs at Dahab say, "We thank the reef, the reef thanks you.""
