Throughout November, Patriot Scuba is swimming to end shark finning for Project AWARE’s first Global Finathon™.

Our distance total is 30 miles, which is equivalent to the distance from the Patriot Scuba store to our nearest dive site, the Rappahannock Quarry! Roughly speaking it is 200 laps in a 25 meter pool. Our swimming team members are welcome to swim as few or as many laps as they would like. To continue with a fin theme, we are offering our swimmers the choice of completing these laps with their mask, fins, and snorkels!

We will be hosting our main swim Sunday, November 11th 10 AM- 1 PM at George Washington Recreation Center. Located at: 8426 Old Mt. Vernon Rd. Alexandria, VA 22309. *Any swimming logged throughout the month of November counts towards Patriot's goal*

We are looking to raise $300 USD, which is an estimated cost of shark fin meat per pound.
