Underwater debris cleanup around Pulau Semak Daun and Pulau Melinjo which are nearby Pulau Pramuka.

The Thousand Islands or locally known as the Kepulauan Seribu is a small archipelago north of the Jakarta Bay. The area has always been pressurized by debris that came out of Jakarta and also illegal fish bombing in the past. Some of the area has been declared as National Marine Park, however its vicinity to the big town of Jakarta could not avoid it from massive amount of debris.

Our mission will be to conduct underwater cleanup at two islands namely the Pulau Semak Daun and Pulau Melinjo, which coral coverage has been improving from time to time.

We will do at least 4 dives during the two days. On day 1 we will do underwater cleanup action and the next day we will conduct a coral watch.

Please e-mail to [email protected] for the trip details. We will share the cost for accommodation, meals and boat transfers between Jakarta and the mission location.
