A few of the graduates from our May Instructor Development Course has stayed behind post-graduation to soak up as much additional knowledge as they can.

Downbelow's resident PADI Course Director, Richard Swann, has taken the opportunity to bring them further into the AWARE fold, by offering to teach them the AWARE Shark Conservation Speciality Instructor Course.

Richard donated his time to teach the course for free.

PADI also chipped in by donating the course fees directly to the AWARE Foundation and Project AWARE in turn donated the teaching and learning materials required for the course.

The nett result? 3 new PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors who are now Shark Aware, to perpetuate the message about the plight of sharks and the key to their survival.

"What a team we all make!" said CD Richard. "It's a great example of how collectively we can be more effective in the battle for shark protection globally", he said.

Each new Instructor can help perpetuate the awareness, until we become too loud to ignore.
