Swimming with Dolphins!

updates

One of the most frequent questions I get asked as a PADI dive professional is "don't you ever get bored of the same thing every day?"  Now, generally my answer consists of "No, because things change - weather, people, students, and marine life"  Today, my answer proved me correct.

It was another sunny day in Key Largo, although that hasnt been the case lately, and I was getting ready to do open water certification dive #4 with 3 students.  I was extremely tired from a really busy Memorial Day weekend and just wanted the day to end.

About 10 minutes into the dive, I heard squeeks, dolphin noises and got really excited.  As I started looking around, out came 7 doplphins swimming around us.  I started to bounce and dance to ge their attention and they came playing with us.  It was soooo incredible!!  I ended my dive squealing like never before - this was only my 2nd time ever seeing dolphins on SCUBA, but this time, they came sooo close. and played!!

Unfortunately, no photos, as I was teaching.  But they memory will last forever!!
