In the Philippines we are very fortunate to have a number areas where we can spot whale sharks. This magnificant fish is one of the true wonders of the underwater world. In most areas its prohibited to dive with the whale sharks, but snorkelling is ok and harmless to the animals. Feeding the animals is also not a part of their natural environment, but it might keep the whale sharks in an area for longer than they might have intended in the first place. Unfortunately that is the case in Oslob in the Visayan region.
