December 4 – 5th, 2011 – Huge Net Cleared from Chumphon Pinnacle

updates

With a bit of wind around the island the waves pick up and the dive boats stay closer to home. Chumphon Pinnacle, on of Koh Tao’s premier dive sites is thus given a much needed break from the diving pressure during this time.

Early in the month of December Eco Koh Tao & Crystal Dive Resort was diving at Chumphon and noticed a huge fishing net entangled around the site.

Over the course of the next 2 days, led by Crystal Instructor Nicolas Hebrant more than 20 volunteers from Eco Koh Tao, Planet Scuba  Crystal Dive Resort on both days worked tirelessly to clear the net from the site.

Thank you to all participants who took part and helped out.
