I Started diving many years ago( I sound old now) I used to be a very keen fisherman, mainly for Carp. However on my PADI Open water course out in Cyprus, I saw fishing line along the bottom of the sea bed and wrapped around Coral, with a fish trapped in the line.

I would never ask fisherman to stop fishing, all I ask is that you think twice if your line gets caught before you cut it. Try to think of a safer way for the underwater world to survive without your fishing line. Cut your line as a last option. Thank You.
