Underwater Clean up

updates

Tomorrow September 17th is International Underwater & Coastal Cleanup Day we here at Aquanauts are going to join. We will be diving thee different reefs, looking for mainly plastic garbage. As we do that on almost every dive, our reefs are nice and clean, but unfortunately currents bring always new garbage from the Atlantic to our reefs. we also collect garbage drifting on the surface, which is in a way the most dangerous one as it is often mistaken by animals such as turtles or whales for food or just swallowed with their regular meals. Too many turtles, whales and whale sharks have been found dead and with a stomach full of plastic.

We will keep you posted what we find and remove from our ocean. We hope it will get less over time and we have more days with out debris than with.
