60 minutes of diving and 60 kilos of debris

updates

Bubbles Dive Centre and local scuba divers held a 2nd Dive Against Debris event last Saturday (30th July) in Marsalforn Bay, Gozo.

Last time we raised 25 kilos of rubbish, this time we managed 60 kilos!  We concentrated our efforts on the vast amounts of rope and sheet metal that are discarded on the sea bed.

Once again Gozo News.com has featured our efforts, see http://gozonews.com/18708/60-minutes-of-diving-results-in-60-kilos-of-debris-at-marsalforn/

Thanks to all the local volunteers including John who 'Snorkeled Against Debris', Ray (diver) , Carol (official photographer), Nurann (on land collector), Simon (on land collector), Jean (on land collector) and Chris and Jamie (divers) and to Gozo News for the publicity.
