Every year in March, the dive resorts in Koh Tao, Thailand organize the Koh Tao Underwater Festival.  With the help of the Save Koh Tao Foundation, the dive shops work to promote eco-friendly practices such as recycling and re-useable energy. 

Manuel Tobolars, from Sunshine Dive Resort joined the ranks of many Eco Men that have been before him as he transformed himself into “Eco-Man Mr. Sunshine”. Armed with his windmill green hat and recycled emblems, Manuel now possessed the power to organise, a Project AWARE underwater cleanup with the divemaster trainees at Sunshine.  Eleven divers picked up 30kg of plastic and glass, clothing, building material and much more.
