PADI Instructor, Sarah Wormald recently certified her first students as Manta Ray Awareness Divers. The PADI Distinctive Specialty written by Sarah teaches divers about manta feeding, cleaning and breeding but Sarah also chose to develop a large section of the course specifically on manta conservation.

The course, run at PADI Dive Centre, World Lembongan, Indonesia talks about Project AWARE and threats to manta rays like finning. Sarah also provides students with information about AWARE’s “Give Sharks A Fighting Chance” campaign. Jennifer Beebe and Susan Buzan are the first certified divers in Sarah’s course.  Congratulations all – and nice Manta Ray impressions!
