Richelieu Rock is another famous diving site it is situated in the Andaman Sea coast of Thailand. This underwater pinnacle gained popularity due to its outstanding number and variety of marine life and is a major attraction to any diver. From the ocean floor, one rises on the rock making the formation to looks like a colossal structure in the middle of the ocean with lots of life. Indeed, the immediate location makes it a focal point of Thailand’s scuba diving routes, the Similan Islands and the Surin Islands.

Coral gardens and an excellent variety of marine inhabiting the site has earned the site its fame. Divers will be able to find large schools of barracuda, trevally, and snappers and on rare occasions manta rays and whale sharks. Specifically, the underwater topography offers large incredible swim-through, overhangs, and beautiful hard and soft correlation in different colors enabling divers to take attractive view excursions.

Macro life is also abundant here; there occur seahorses, nudibranchs, and pipefish which are few of the critters in Richelieu Rock. Its marine environment and the range of dives it offers makes Richelieu Rock one of the highlights for divers who look for the large ocean animals as wells as the details of the micro world. Due to very rich and colorful coral formation combined with full variety of the sea creatures and beautiful underwater topography it is always a fantastic dive at the site.
