Additional Information
From time to time large fishing equipment is dumped by boat intentionally or as in this case lost by getting stuck on the bottom causing a serious danger to the reef health.
The fishing net was very heavy and it was entangled with soft corals and it was difficult to remove, we used multiple lifting bag and needed 2 consecutidives to be able to remove it
Comments and Feedback
This was the second cleanup on this site as we could not remove the bulk of it on the first attempt. This time we lifted considerable more weight (600kg) . We used 3 lift bags and also had the assistance of the local coast guard with an additional boat who came to lift the net out of the water.
